Pichuberry

2-3x larger than typical ground cherries, Pichuberries burst with a pineappley, slightly mangoey tropical funk with a hint of tomato that no "caped gooseberry" could come close to. Their papery husk protect as the berries grow on the branches and double as unique decoration even on the plate. Their complex flavor lends well to everything from chutneys to roasted veggie platters to salsas to sorbets.
