Arguably the sweetest green onion type whose sugars really come out with age and smells milder than scallions, instantly transforming dishes calling for green onions. This is NOT leek. This is the Godzilla of green onions, nurtured anywhere from 10-15 months in the ground as we incrementally and repeatedly cover the roots with surrounding dirt ("hilling") to block light from the stems. This process of blanching makes the stems tender and sweeter.

Our Regular size Negi is about 3/4 - 1" diameter.

Our Godzilla size Negi is about 1.25-1.5" diameter, spending about 13-15 months in the ground and developing additional sugars.
