Garlic Chive Blossom

Pollen and nectar in each bloom compliments its unmistakable allium punch without overwhelming the palate. Much like the leafy part of the plant, the blossoms taste like equal parts shallots and garlic. Warm summers and busy bees elevate the sweet-and-spicy complex while cooler temperatures turn the sweetness from honey-like to that of sauteed onions.
